Michael es el Director Ejecutivo de What Works for Children’s Social Care, desde enero de 2019. Antes de unirse al Centro, Michael fue Chief Scientist en el Behavioral Insights Team, donde dirigió proyectos de investigación, incluidas cuatro evaluaciones para el Department for Education’s Innovation Programme. Michael es Reader in Public Policy en el en el King’s College de Londres y Associate Fellow de la Escuela de Gobierno Blavatnik de la Universidad de Oxford. Tiene un doctorado en economía de la Universidad de Bristol y completó estudios posdoctorales en la Kennedy School of Government de Harvard.
