Daniel Susskind es profesor de Economía en el Balliol College, Oxford, donde enseña e investiga, y de donde tiene dos grados en Economía. Anteriormente trabajó para el Gobierno Británico, en la Unidad Estratégica del Primer Ministro, en la Unidad Política del número 10 de Downing Street, y como asesor político en la oficina del gobierno. Tuvo una beca Kennedy en la Universidad de Harvard.
